Mamie Minch is a mainstay of the vibrant Brooklyn, NY folk and blues music scene, who performs songs that sound like they’ve been stored in her 1930s National steel guitar for decades.  She has found her voice in reviving and writing antique blues and ballads that bridge between historical record, dark mythic storytelling, and contemporary life.  Mamie's low-down tenor singing voice and percussive fingerstyle guitar are a modern take inspired by players like Memphis Minnie, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, and Bukka White. She has collaborated with some of the most interesting acoustic musicians working today, including New Orlean's own Dayna Kurtz, Australia's CW Stoneking, and of course Brooklyn's Tamar Korn.  She also is a co-owner of the only women-owned and run guitar restoration and repair shops in New York City, Brooklyn Lutherie.
